Privacy · Emberwake: Idle Stars
What the game stores, and what it does not.
Emberwake: Idle Stars is in development for iPhone and iPad. This notice describes how the game is built to handle data.
Your progress
Saves stay on your device
Your save — sparks, helpers, chapters, keepsakes and settings — is stored locally on your device. There is no cloud sync and no account. We do not automatically receive a copy of your save. A previous safe save is kept locally for recovery.
Deleting the app may remove your progress and moonstone balance. For help with a save, you can use Settings > Export save and attach the file to an email. That is voluntary, and we only use it to investigate the issue you have reported. Exported saves may include game progress and transaction identifiers. Starting a new story resets gameplay progress while keeping moonstones, permanent purchases, colours and earned keepsakes.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Apple
Optional permanent extras and consumable moonstones are sold through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment and holds the payment details — we never receive your card information. Signed transaction information is used to verify and deliver purchases; transaction identifiers are stored locally to prevent duplicate delivery.
The game asks Apple whether a purchase belongs to your Apple Account so that permanent extras can be restored, and rechecks interrupted purchases when you next open the game online. Refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. There are no subscriptions.
Optional videos
Your choices for optional videos
Reward videos are optional and use Google AdMob. The app requests non-personalised ads, with privacy choices handled through Google's UMP consent flow where required. The game does not request permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
Google may process device and app information, IP addresses, ad interactions and diagnostics for delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and privacy choices. This can include approximate geography inferred from an IP address. This still happens for non-personalised ads — non-personalised means the advert is not selected from a profile of you, not that no data is processed.
Ad privacy choices are available in Settings when Google's consent system requires them. If ad requests are not permitted, the game continues without videos. Quiet skies replaces video rewards with instant boost claims. There are no banner ads, forced interstitials or app-open ads.
See Google's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy for how those companies handle data.
Not collected
What we do not gather
We do not ask for your name, email address or any sign-in to play. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell data.
Because the game is still in development, this notice may be updated before release. Any change will be published on this page. Apple and Google manage their own records, retention and privacy controls. Requests about their records should use their own privacy channels.
